Hi, if you're here that probably means that you're interested in buying some smudge but need some more information? Hopefully this page will provide some useful insights.

What are Smudge sticks?

Smudge Sticks are bundles of herbs, normally White Sage, Lavender or Yerba Santo, bound together by twine. Other herbs are also used and herbs can be combined.

Why should I use Smudge Sticks?

There have been several scientific studies that have showed the benefits of burning smudge. People have been burning these herbs in order to prevent illness, to ward off negative energy, or cleanse a space, aura, person or group, in traditions that goes back thousands of years.

In my own personal experience I've find that since Smudging I've noticed the following benefits

  • Cleanses Negative Energy
  • Clears the Air
  • Improves my sleep
  • Helps me to focus
  • Helps me to relax
  • Increased sense of Wellbeing and calmness
  • Increased energy

How do I use Smudge Sticks

Some people have entire Smudging rituals that include chanting.

On a practical level, you just light the smudge and wait for it to 'catch' before blowing out the flame. When the smoke builds up, you can move the stick around your body to cleanse yourself.

You can also walk around your house with the stick, ensuring that you cover all corners, cupboards etc

Once you've cleansed the house, you can leave it lit in one of our specially designed smudge dishes, or any ceramic, glass, clay dish/bowl. Abalone shells are also popular for use as a smudge dish.

How often should I Smudge?

It's up to you. I smudge once a week as part of my Wednesday Wellbeing regime, where I prioritise my Self Care! Sometimes I'll smudge if I've had a bad experience 'out on road' and at the start of a new year.
